Shoot this place is one of my favorite places in Tulsa.  I have many stories of great experiences I have had hear, but one stands out to me the most.

And it has to do with the bathroom so I apologize if this is a little gross.

    You have been warned.

A couple of years ago while I was out on a date with my girlfriend (now wife) I had to use the restroom.  During my time in the loo another gentleman rushed into the bathroom and attempted to pull open my stall door.  Realizing that it was locked, he proceeded to open my neighboring stall just in time for him to proceed vomiting all over the floor and restroom equipment in he stall.  There was a splash and you guessed it...it reached me as well.

The gentle man then said that he "had one too many tequilas." Apparently this guy can't hold his liquor.  I proceeded to tell an employee of the mess. and they went right to work to clean it all up.  Then the manager came to check in on me to make sure I was ok.  Then he went out of his way to make sure the rest of my experience made up for the trauma I experienced in the bathroom.

Their compassion made my night.  I was able to laugh at the whole thing instead of freaking out that I was going to have to be embarrassed with my lady with me.  We just went back last week and had yet another great experience.  Highly recommend.  They truly care for their customers.

It's been a while since we've eaten at El Guapo's, mostly because there are other food offerings we prefer when we're downtown, but from what I recall, the food is really solid Tex-Mex fair.

This time, though, we sat at the bar for one cocktail before an event.   Service was good but it was a bit stuffy inside (the literal atmosphere, not the service).

I was glad to see that I could order a small (12 oz.) margarita and the pomegranate one was outstanding.

I would definitely go back for chips and salsa and another Marg and a meal!

Great place for happy hour and taco Tuesday!  Don't miss out on the daily specials.  Love the salsa

The service was horrible.  We had to ask several times  for iced tea refills; when they finally brought tea, there was no ice. This was my first time there, for my birthday. We won't be returning.  We had to ask several times for salad dressing.  The server gave the distinct impression that she didn't want to be there. My guy ordered beef enchiladas; there was nothing but a small amount of ground beef rolled up in a tortilla . . . No sauce ok r anything.  It was an overall bad experience.

This is my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant! I discovered this place with some close family friends. I always get the Steak and Cheese Flautas, when I recently went in I got a mimosa with strawberry. I recommend checking in on yelp before you arrive to the restaurant to save time waiting on a table. The bar is always open for seating as well but it is first come first serve.
